September is National Pet Insurance month, and pet parents can win $500 for their "Pet Insurance in action" story. From the North American Pet Health Insurance association (NAPHIA):
September 2009 is National Pet Health Insurance Month, and the North American Pet Health Insurance Association would like to invite pet owners to submit stories of how pet health insurance has helped them in a situation when their pet was in need of medical care. NAPHIA board members will review the submissions and choose one winner, who will receive $500!

National Pet Insurance month, that's very interesting. I wonder how many pet owners have pet insurance? This is the first time I've heard it. I thought that insurance is only for humans, but it is also for pets. Very nice.
